What do I need to have ready before the mobile notary arrives?
To keep your appointment quick and smooth, please have:

All required signers present
Documents ready but NOT signed (most documents must be signed in front of the notary)
Any required witnesses (if witnesses are required, you’ll typically need to provide them—ask if you’re unsure)
If you’re not sure what your document requires, we can help confirm what’s needed for notarization (we can’t provide legal advice).

Absolutely. We come to your location—whether at home, office, hospital, or other—at your convenience.

What is an Apostille, and when do I need one?
An apostille is an official certificate issued by the Texas Secretary of State that verifies the authenticity of a public document for use in countries that are members of the Hague Apostille Convention. You may need an apostille for international business transactions, overseas employment, dual citizenship applications, marriage abroad, adoption proceedings, educational enrollment, or legal matters outside the United States.
How long does an apostille take in Texas?
Processing times vary depending on the type of document and current Texas Secretary of State processing volume. Standard processing may take several business days, while expedited options may be available in certain situations. Contact Signature Plus Notary Services for current turnaround estimates.
How much does an apostille cost in Austin, TX?
Apostille costs depend on the number of documents, government fees, shipping requirements, and whether expedited service is requested.
Our pricing includes:
Apostille Courier Service (First Document): $90 (State Fees included)
Each Additional Document: $50 (State Fees Included)
Apostille Agent Services: Custom quote based on document type and processing requirements
Shipping fees and expedited processing fees may apply.
What documents can be apostilled in Texas?

Birth Certificates
Marriage Certificates
Death Certificates
Divorce Decrees
Powers of Attorney
School Diplomas

Do I need to go to the Secretary of State's office myself?
No. Signature Plus Notary Services can handle the apostille process on your behalf. Our Apostille Agent and Courier Services help simplify the process by coordinating document review, submission, processing, and return delivery.
What is the difference between an apostille and notarization?
A notarization verifies the signer's identity and confirms that the signature was made willingly. An apostille certifies the authenticity of a notarized document or public record so it can be accepted in another country. Many documents must first be notarized before they can receive an apostille.
What countries accept Texas apostilles?
Texas apostilles are accepted by countries that are parties to the Hague Apostille Convention. If your destination country is not a member of the Convention, your documents may require authentication and embassy or consular legalization instead. Contact us, and we can help determine the correct process for your destination country.
